You Know What Would Make Shinkenger Perfect.....

I can't get over how much I'm liking this series.... and I think about that badass sword Juuzou has to the point of obsession...

......a badass ninja.

I'm really impressed with this show. If they can get me one badass ninja with all this samurai action.... it'd be perfect.

Juuzou is close tho.

Why? They have done ninja's twice. This show would be taken down a peg IMO if they suddenly tossed in a ninja. Juuzou is still samurai. He isn't even close to a ninja.

I do agree though, Shinkenger is amazing. I can't wait to watch each episode. The minute I get it I watch it. I am loving the characters.

Non ugly-ass mecha would help.

The mecha are great. The mecha combinations are great. Maybe a thread should be made for "Shinkenger Nitpicking" that way people that just want to enjoy it can be separated from those that just want to pick each little thing apart.

I was thinking the only thing needed to make this perfect was a historical reference to Kukai/Kobo Daishi, the "Five Brush Priest", who was said to bring things to life just by writing the characters in the air.

How many times they've done ninjas I think is separate than what kind of swordsmen show up in Shinkenger.

I'm digging on all the samurai and ronin variants we're seeing. I'm really hoping for a ninja in there somewhere.

Well he's got the sword on his back and those ninja style "shoes" so I'm assuming he must be a Ninja. Meaning we will get Samurai vs. Ninja.

Just because he's sporting a sword on his back doesn't make him a ninja. Remember, Shurikenger wore his sword on his waist and wasn't a samurai, until the geniuses at Disney decided to adapt him into one.

I agree, no ninja's. They've had their moment in the spotlight.

The only thing I disliked so far was in ep 2 when their Origami Emblems were stacked together, that scene was stupid.

I'm so happy we have a team of 5 who don't annoy the living **** out of me and don't act like 3 year olds.

While you may not have liked it, it served a point to the little kiddies watching the show that writing your kanji correctly is important. The only reason the origami got stuck like that was because Ryuunosuke miswrote the gattai kanji so that it looked like an oden stick.

There was a recent article published in Japan too about how because of technology a lot of people are forgetting how to write some of the basic kanji because in word processors you just type it and it pops up. You can still read it, but when you're doing writing with good old pen and paper, you don't remember what it looks like. As an educational point, Shinkenger's serving as inspiration for kids to actually learn and remember how to write kanji and not rely on computers to tell them.
