The plot of the series revolves around three yōkai, Bem, Bera and Berro, who arrive at a large coastal city and come across an evil atmosphere, which was brought about by immoral behavior by humans and mischief caused by monsters and yōkai. They therefore decide to stay in the city, fighting against other monsters and yōkai which attack humans, making a few friends along the way. Even though the three yōkai are often abused by other human beings due to their appearance, they still strive in protecting the human populace of the city from other monsters, one day hoping to become human beings in return for their good actions.

Started a few days ago, apparently to pretty good acclaim. I haven't found a download yet, but the standby site for this sort of thing is down at the moment. It's based on an anime from the 60s and sounds like a pretty cool idea.

I've seen raws of the first ep of this, though I haven't heard if any groups are picking it up. I hope so, though! If not, I'd probably still watch it raw once the series finishes. :thumbs:

I rather like the opening.

I'm caught up on it at this point, and it's doing pretty well at keeping me engaged in the storyline. I hate cliffhangers though, and episode 4 ended on a doozy!

THIS SHOW IS AWESOME.

I love Kamenashi Kazuya. I haven't seen any dramas with him or Anne previously, but they are quite good actors, the story is really heartfelt and engaging and each episode really gives out a good message about being human and stuff. I like it.

Though it only took about a day for the subbers to do this weeks' episode, which was pretty impressive.

I'm a little surprised you haven't seen Kame in a drama before. I could understand Anne, though. I have, but not too many people watched Joker. (I only did for Ryo Nishikido...) Fun fact? she's Ken Watanabe's daughter. :thumbs:

I am currently on Episode 9, and it's just a great show. Exceeded all of my expectations.

The actors really do a great job. Kamen should keep his gray hair forever!
