Y3K's Very Interesting Essay About SPD

Umm, usually I'm not one to say or think stuff like this, but...it's a kids' show. Someone way over-thought this one.

Exactly. I couldnt finish reading more than half the essay. It's fucking power rangers. It never has and never will make sense. God damn, this is like saying "barney cant exist! Dinosaurs were green WTF?!"

Like Ryou said, Y3k over-thought a lot on everything and is trying to bring logic into a fantasy driven world where color suited super heroes fight monsters and the worlds military doesnt get involved. You know what I mean? He cant punch holes in SPD's realism without punchin holes in PR's entire existence.

If anything, this is just another fans over hyped opinion. Calling it an essay makes it out to be more than it really is. He's just ranting through most of it. Hey, I'm tired of hearing "it's a kids show" as much as the next fan, but those paragraphs make you want to scream it.

I find that fascinating considering I've seen you go into post after post after post of in-depth discussion about Power Rangers and all of it's interworkings. It's interesting that you suddenly take the stance of, "don't overanalyze it!" when you feel that someone is potentially pointing out the shortcomings of a season/EP that you love. That's quite the double standard that we've all come to know and expect from you.

The really funny part? Tom wasn't even trying to make SPD look bad. You just jumped the gun in that assumption. He was actually taking a fresh look at the series and trying to find something to enjoy about it.

Hell, you "couldn't even finish reading more than half of it" but you were easily able to dismiss it. Funny how that works. It's good to know that there are people like you around being so shortsighted. After all, we wouldn't want any new light shed on a subject now would we?

When have I done that this year? Granted, I've written lengthy opinions about why I like or hate a particular season/episode, but I dont recall ever analyzing Power Rangers on the scale that most others do. You're going to have to refresh my memory.
