XBOX Live bans a Lesbian....

Haha I love how that's your first concern. Considering this person is on XBL, I somehow doubt it.

Anyway, in Microsoft's defense. You know, they get so many people going around yelling "Gay this" or "Fag that" that they probably just have an eye out for words like that. You obviously have a case here where they just thought it was another one of the above situations and acted prematurely, only this time someone made a fuss about it so it got attention.

I doubt Microsoft was like "Oooo look, a lesbian...LET'S BAN IT!" This also goes back to the situation where why this person really needed to make a deal about what they prefer under the belt of the person they want to nail, especially when everyone knows what a homosexually hostile place XBL is. There's really no reason, but both parties are at fault here I think. This isn't Microsoft being all hate crime or anything. I doubt I'd get banned if I wrote something like "OH MAH GAWD IM STR8!!!111", they probably just have filters for the words and then investigate from there.

Whoa, did I just defend Microsoft on something??? :eyebrow:

i wonder if the lesbian is hot...

That right there is a perfect example of why Microsoft would want to ban the user.

Considering this person is on XBL, I somehow doubt it.

And THAT is just fucking uncalled for. What are you saying? That women who play on Xbox live are ugly? Or are you saying that just lesbians who play on Xbox live are ugly. Or maybe you're saying ALL Live members are ugly.

I don't agree with what microsoft did, but I can't understand why the woman advertised in her profile. She claimed to be harrassed by several members...well...if she hadn't put it in her profile they wouldn't have known.

Though I suppose she probably got sick and tired of assholes hitting on her/drooling over her when they found out she was a gamer chick. :eyebrow:

If you read the article you'll see that Microsoft has a policy that doesn't allow any mention of sexuality, of any kind, homo- or otherwise.

lol I mean all Live members are ugly...it's a joke, lighten up. :shakefist

If you're going to advertise yourself, anywhere, you have to know the environment. It doesn't make the people who harass you any more right, but you gotta know what you're doing, so you're right in that there's no reason to tempt people like that.

That's so stupid. Microsoft is just as gay. They should ban their self. Another reason I'm glad I don't use Xbox anymore.

People want to make a big deal out of this because it's a "gay rights" thing. That's all.

Also, when the people who bitch and complain and rip on Microsoft about this are done, they'll turn off their computers and go right back to playing Gears of Bore.
