I can’t wait for this...

Everyones so freakin brolic, they look they're about to have the roughest, strongest orgy on the planet. :laugh

But seriously, yo this is going to be soooo hot.

Fraction is going to ruin this, I can feel it... But at least it seems the other writers outnumber him and have more control :\

The X-Men have meant nothing since Morrison left it in shambles. Claremont and Louise have written far superior alternate universe titles that get back to the core basics of why the group was popular in the first place.

I really hope you're trying to troll like Claremont is. He's the very definition of a hack.

Do you know the definition of hack? While you may take issue with his writing style if he was only in this for the cash he would have done something other than X-Men Forever. He actually enjoys writing these characters. The problem is that Claremont works best when he and his artist get into sync and he has been screwed over by editorial by giving him variety of fill-in artists that make it impossible for him to get a rapport with them.

Actually I would like to know what issue you have with Claremont, so many people seem to hate Claremont for no real reason other than he isn't a popular writer anymore. And no I am not an old fan hanging onto the past either, my time reading him was the underrated "Genosha" Excalibur run which was torpedoed by the crap that was House of M/Decimation/Quesada's hatred of the X-Men. Which will hopefully be undone by Second Coming too by the way.

Shitty narrative and dialogue, taking character favoritism to another level and filling a book with terrible ideas solely to engage his own fetishes.

Actually, no, I'm not "trolling" X-Men Forever is a far superior title. You want mediocrity? Try Yost's drivel
Kyle and Yost may not be great writers, but they at least put effort and respect into their work. X-Force now is just above average, but it's still heaps better than the dross Fraction and PAD are putting out.

Take the spitting match elsewhere, please. That's not why I made this thread.

First of all, I'm a long time fan of Chris Claremont and I still am. I'm not really crazy about this whole 'mutant burnout' thing he has going on XMF, but that's a minor issue. He's still a solid writer.

Matt Fraction is the most hit-or-miss writer in the history of the title. He vacilates from being solid to sloppy on a regular basis. And it's a lot more apparent when there's a lousy artist behind him, like Greg Land. Other than the return of Psylocke, Sisterhood and most of Nation X has been subpar, at best. But when Terry Dodson is in the artist's seat, it evelates his work a few notches. So far, Utopia has been his most solid work. Not brilliant, but solid.

I'll miss Chris and Kyle on X-Force once Second Coming ends, though. Whoever takes over from them has a lot to live up to.
