WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 (X-Box 360)

What I hate about ALL wrestling games is how I cannot win a title in exhibition mode and keep it, walk out during my enterance with it, etc etc.

and if I lose to an opponent controlled my COMP then that character holds the title until I defeat them again.

Until then there will never be a perfect wrestling game. DoR 2 comes close though.

I remember the original "Smackdown!" PS1 game having that ability...

Really eh, I wonder why they stopped that. It makes the game so much more fun probally.

Does SD vs. RAW 08 have this too?.

You've obviously not read on season mode haven't you? Right, remember how the goal in Smackdown 2007 was to win the Title at Wrestlemania? Well your goal this time is to become a Hall of Famer. Now for some superstars like the legends, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Triple H etc, this will be easy but for people like Carlito, Kennedy, Lashley, Masters etc, you've got a few in-game years ahead of you.

Huh... that's a weird goal. So how do you reach Hall of Famer? As long as the season mode is nice and long, it shouldnt be bad.

I played a demo sometime back of the 360 version and I wassn't all that impressed. It looked nice, yes, but it was really aquard to play. They where vage on instruction, so I just went with it and low and behold, I was on a reseving end of an ass kicking as I was using Jeff Hardy and the CPU was Bobby Lashley.
The DS one is not too good eather, you litteraly have little to no control over your character other then the moves you can do. Didn't help also that the instructions where just as bad on the DS then on the 360, and no one ever bothered to cue me in as to who I was in the demo (it was a Demo w/ John Cena vs. Triple H) so I litteraly lost it playing it.
I for one say that maybe skip this year if this is how the final product is gonna end up.

Just cos you got PWNED in the demo, doesn't mean the game sucks dude. Before I got 2007, I played the 360 demo version. I was HHH against Kane and I got MEGA PWNED. Did that put me off? No. I was waiting for an awesome game to come out after Smackdown 2006 was a HUGE disappointment.

Now that I'm bored with 2007, I need a new Smackdown game to quench my thirst. And to play it in-between Warcraft sessions. XD

oh... well, i'd have to play it some more. I just wish THQ would of told me more to do special moves and such, cause I tried to do a Swanton bomb, but aperently, eather the guy didn't tell me to climb the ropes or they didn't program that in, but I could not do it, and also, they give you a set time to do held specials now, so I was pressing every button and pushing the pad at all directions and nada.

Should be climb the ropes and push Triangle.

Yeah, triangle is the new button for finishing moves
