Worst Heisei era Kamen Rider series

Hibiki's differences from other Riders didn't bother me that much. What bothered me was the characters (bland and frustrating), the style (unnatural and lacking flow) and the music (all incredibly off putting aside from 'Shonen yo').

I lost all motivation to watch after the 10th episode and the plot was hard to follow (probably because I'm watching shitty Hong Kong subs). Hopefully Dragon Knight fix this problem when it comes out.
Same here. Hoping TVN will pick it back up soon. Another group could do it but their quality would be just as bad as HKs, though at least they'd get the names right...

I don't see how the characters were bland. They all felt like real people to me. :/ Asumu was a kid looking for someone who could be a father figure for him, Todoroki was a naive adult being tossed out into the world, Hibiki was a seasoned vet who still had fears of his own, Ibuki was naive in the fact that he pretty much had everything go easy for him until the whole Akira incident in the middle of the series. Aside from Kageyaki, the music wasn't that bad. Flashback was pretty decent song, I kinda wish it was used in the series and not just in the movie. The OSTs were ten times better than the series it was sandwiched in between, I'd go as far as saying they're the best of the heisei era, probably only next to Den-O and even then, it's the same composer.

I dunno. Every time I see people list "bland and boring characters" as a reason for disliking the show, I just sit there in awe.

Anywho. Enough of my Hibiki!emoing. I don't think you're missing too much by not being able to see Ryuki, though I guess you'd have to see it to make your decision. It's an okay series at the start, but it gets really frustrating later on. Then again, I was never Shinji's biggest fan, I thought Ren or Miyuki would have made much better main characters. There's also the ending, though I actually liked the way the ending was going, it was just the final two minutes of episode 50 that I would erase.

So far, I would say Kabuto. Great suit designs, awesome characters such as Kagami, Daisuke, Tsurugi, Misaki, Tadakoro, & Renge. The only problem I had was that Tendou was acting like an ass thoughout almost the entire show, plus the ending was the biggest failure, not to mention that there wasn't an overall plotline.

Den-O on the other hand was a bit too light for me, because of the over usage of the comical lines, and no serious points to the story itself. At least the characters, the imajins, and the weapons had some originality in the designs, especially the Den-O Belt.

People doesn't agree with me but. i dont like kiva that much. the Story bored The hell out of me.

i do like the story of 1986. rather than 2008. The actors and all doesn't attract me that much neither does the theme.

No matter how much I hate a series, I watch it to the end.

So far, IMO, Kabuto is the weakest in terms of character growth. Tendou was just flaunting his superiority everywhere he goes, Kagami trying to impress everyone he sees. The others actually took a step back in their growth (Tsurugi becoming 'infatuated' with Kagami...I prefer when he was still proud and all...Kazama, Yaguruma, and Kageyama all becoming emo).

Hibiki has the most 'real' characters, especially Hibiki himself. Asumu is pretty well-written for his character, but just dun really like him.

Den-O...I LIKE IT!!
True, Ryoutarou's like a gay, and Yuuto is just a brat, but the relationships between the characters (including the Imagins) weave a wonderful story. The reason for the slow build-up is probably due to the insane number of characters (too much time spent to introduce them).
