Worst Heisei era Kamen Rider series

And this is different from Kabuto, Den-O and Kiva...how? Lots of people say those are more true to the nature of Kamen Rider, but come on, the bikes there are for pure fanwank and used in battle maybe a handful of times if we're lucky. Heck, in Kabuto you never even saw most of the Riders on a bike and if they were, it was never more than a few seconds. I personally prefer the bike that Hibiki ended up getting and thought it was hilarious that we had someone that didn't actually know how to ride one, you can't tell me the time he crashed Ibuki's bike wasn't funny.

Sure, the bike wasn't a super important part of the series, but I'd much rather see Hibiki's bike than that Lego Dragon that Nago's got riding around. I'd also prefer it if the bike had some purpose there, at least more so than in recent series. I'd love to have a series where the powers of a Kamen Rider are actually derived from the powers of his bike or heck, give us a form that actually uses the bike itself.

I never said anything about using them in battle I'm talking about just having them riding it majority of the time Hibiki hardly ever had a bike and I don't even remember Zenki or Todokori(I think that's right) never touch one.

I'd have to say Kiva is the worst. However, I am going to finish it, & I may have a mind change about it, but so far it is the only one I'd never want to watch over & it's just not as good as the rest that I've seen.

That's one of the perks with Hibiki...he was a "rider" who couldn't drive neither motorcycle or car...he preferred walking.:laugh:

The only true rider was Ibuki.

Kamen Rider WAS a series with only one Rider (going one at a time, at least) for the most part, but that changed during what? Towards the end of the series? Despite that, from start to finish the series was AWESOME. Especially when the Double Rider were there in action with each other.

I guess the Riders in THE FIRST and THE NEXT are damn awful too since they don't say Henshin, even though they are based of THE Kamen Riders. (I guess Kamen Rider didn't start off as a "great" Kamen Rider series either, because he didn't say "Henshin!" nor yell out his attacks. Or can the series get away with it just because it's the first installment in the franchise?)

Don't get me wrong. I wished Hibiki DID say "henshin", had a Rider Kick, and rode a bike (and even have the traditional bug-eyes). Because to me, that looks good, doesn't it? But to write the series as the worst just because of that superficial reason alone is bullshit.

:laugh: I didn't know the KR franchise had a monopoly on the word "Henshin". Seriously, some of you are listing shows as awful because of them not saying a particular word and because they don't exclusively use bikes? Great criteria there folks. :disappoin

As for the original question, worst for me (so far) would have to be Kabuto; it was just a monumental waste of potential to me. Characters stories not being developed well (or not at all in some cases), the overuse of the "Perfect Zecter will save the day" angle during the latter half of the show; Drake getting the shaft and Sasword being turned into comic relief really ticked me off too. I think the only reason I kept tuning in was for the rider suit designs and Anna Nagata.

Agito is slowly but surely tempting me to put it at second place in my book the more I watch it. The plot isn't so much predictable but it's just overly drawn out. Like you KNOW they could figure out the big mysteries of the show in maybe 6-8 episodes but it doesn't hit them until the halfway point or something. You can only drag out a plot gimmick so long.

Also, some of the character are starting to get on my nerves. ESPECIALLY Mana's brother who for some reason feels it necessary to destroy every single plot device. Lest we not forget the Uber Ass that is Hojo, whose character goes beyond common villain hate and reaches into areas of "I Want To Slug You In The Face With A Mallet" hate....

As for Hibiki, I'd say that was trash but really, the worst part of it was the second half. Complete character changes, the induction of Kusaka Jr., and the most disappointing ending of the Heisei series to date.

I found Agito a pretty good series . The plot kept me interested from beginning to end mainly because most of the episodes end in cliffhangers and I really want to know what happens next. Not say that the it was perfect there were a couple things that bother me like:

2. I believe Ryo had the most tragic events in the series and I can't help but think that the writers hate him or something.
3. Fucking Hojo!!! I'll admit his actor did a pretty good job in making him an asshole but there times where I just want to jump into the screen and punch him right in the nose.

Hibiki on the other hand is not completely trash as long you think it's a different series (which it should have been! Damn You Toie! :shakefist ) I'll admit it's difficult to get into the 1st 10 episodes but after that it's pretty interesting if you want to try something different.

Ok back to the main topic. My pic for worst Heisei era rider series would be Ryuki because I lost all motivation to watch after the 10th episode and the plot was hard to follow (probably because I'm watching shitty Hong Kong subs). Hopefully Dragon Knight fix this problem when it comes out.
