It just came out earlier today, so did anyone get a chance to watch it?

Watched it today.
I really enjoyed it. The action was good, the animation was good. The voice actors all did pretty well (even Fillion), although I couldn't help but wish I was hearing Lucy Lawless as Hippolyta. Feels like a solid and loyal adaptation of the comics, not taking everything word for word but doing well to capture a rendition of the title character's mythos and origin story.

[hide]The first 10-15 minutes were really strong; a big battle, with some great dialogue. Subsequently, it dipped a little, but stayed pretty exciting and on the mark, only deviating occasionally with some awkward lines and questionable developments. I didn't really like how active a role Steve seemed to take- there were some strong feminist messages as ever, but his presence in some scenes simply seemed to weaken Diana. The main confrontation was pretty cool, but could've used a little more strong action and dialogue.

I was impressed that Simone and Jelenic tried to keep a balance between the contemporary 'man's world' and interesting Greek/ Amazon mystic world. It'd be great if this gave the comic a little boost, in sales and hopefully in freedom to let Simone explore that more in the comic.[/hide]

If you like Wonder Woman, and you like some cheese on your super heroes, check it out.

I watched it last night and I liked it quite a bit. There were some liberties taken and some origin elements were changed that I wasn't crazy about, but it was a really good movie. I'm only sorry more of the Amazons from the George Perez era, like Phillipus, Menalippe and Euboea didn't show up. It was a little weird seeing Artemis as Hippolyta's second in command, too.

The voice acting was solid, but I'm still having a bit of trouble matching Keri Russell's voice Diana herself. And a classic WW villain showing up at the very end was a nice touch. Overall, it was pretty satisfying to see Diana really portrayed as the physical powerhouse she really is.

I have to say that movie kicked a lot of ass. I enjoyed every minute of it. I wish they would do a GL animated movie with this level of quality.

Just watched it a few hours ago at the WonderCon screening. It was certifiably badass. I loved the action scenes and the dialogue was witty and appealing. I wasn't too informed on Diana's origin story, so I walked in with a fresh perspective. I liked it, overall. :)

And at the end, they showed a preview to the new GL movie coming out this summer. It looks AMAZING. Sinestro, Abin Sur, the GL Corps. and everyone's in it. For some reason though,

[hide]Sinestro's in his Sinestro Corps. outfit later on in the preview... O_o[/hide]

Why? Hopefully it makes sense soon! ^^
