No. The movie was a financial bomb at the box office. It was a great movie IMO, but the studios only care about the money.

Eeeeeeeeeeeh, holliwood has been bringing back a lot of movies that were either bad, or no one remembers...so you never know what crazy ideas they might come up with.

It didn't do great, but it didn't do THAT badly. It was a critical success, at least. There was nothing but good reviews about it.

I don't think it was destined to have a sequel, anyway.
