Why is Saban 'not legally allowed' to skip a Sentai series?

The Dairanger suits would not work anyways. Kids will be like "The dinosaur suits were so much cooler" and "What happen to the old suits?". The Dairanger suits would have hurt ratings and toy sales.

People accepted the new Zords just fine, I don't see why they'd have a problem with the new suits if they had been properly introduced as power ups. The first episodes of season 2 were aired in prime time, so, it'd be the perfect point to make a big image change like that and actually make it stick. However, Saban tried to hold onto the original suits for too long, only changing them after the show wasn't in the mainstream eye anymore, and now basically only the original suits are remembered outside of the fanbase.
