Why Adapt Ryuki?

Aside from the potential merchandise you could market from Ryuki..what really Made you decide to adapt Ryuki over all the other Rider series that were out at the time?

Well, that's something you'd have to take up with our Japanese masters. They purchased the rights to Ryuki, gave it to us, and said, "Here, make a show out of this." Neither I or Steve or Mike had anything to do with choosing the material. We adapted Ryuki because that's what they asked us to do.
