"While airing..."

Blade had comedy?
I mean, there was one scene that I did genuinely laugh at but for the most part, it seemed too knee-deep in its own seriousness to realize it needed some.

The guy who drank milk, who's name I can't remember now, was usually the prime example being held up. I think the general thought was that ANY comic relief was now bad, since Faiz had almost none.

Honestly, I'm discussing this from the standpoint of it being so long ago and having never watched Faiz, so I'm not remembering much more than "Blade sucks, watch Faiz." :)

One particularly memorable moment was when Kaido and Keitaro, who had suddenly developed a Bromance, decided to dye their hair blonde and go punk for several episodes. It was...surreal.

Back to Blade, just got to episode 14 and was kind of upset

[HIDE]That Sayoko, Garren's love interest, was killed off. She was awesome and fridging women is annoying![/HIDE]

I suppose it just boils down to YMMV since Kotaro freaking out and well this..

isn't what I'd consider great humor. (The only time I laughed in Blade was when Karasuma is asking Kenzaki about the missing Leangle belt and since Kenzaki's half-asleep, he keep getting the belt wrong).

Also, you can't forget this when speaking about Kaidou.

[hide]What I found kinda mood-killing was right when she goes over the cliff, we get the start of Kakusei which goes like "GOTTA SHAKE YOU UP, TO GIVE YOU MY LOvE! GOTTA SHAKE YOU UP, TO KEEP IT REAL!"[/hide]

Man if Den-O had aired after Faiz instead :P But wow, didn't know that, the only comedy I can remember from Blade was the Karasuma/Belt scene and the mid-episodes with the Hajime mixup... that was random.

I feel like little bits of humor were placed here and there to keep Blade from becoming a big whiny mess like Faiz. Like whatever the girls name was treating the Human Undead like a great grandfather.

Don't forget the episode where Hajime meets the guy who looks just like him, and gets involved in his personal life.
I laughed through the whole episode

But I would still say that Faiz had more comedy than Blade.
I mean, Takumi's personality was basically a joke itself through most of the show.

The Taiyaki episodes is supposed to be the "acid trip" episodes; however, Ryo end up being so badass that he became a secret character in the video game.:buttrock:
