Which one should I watch next? Kabuto or Kiva?

You should do Den-O before Kabuto. It's more enjoyable, at least, and the main character is very likeable.

To get some enjoyment out of Kabuto remember 3 things:
1. No matter how unlikely it may seem, Tendou will win. At anything. Except for a couple of instances where he ends up in the river. And it's not necessarily a good thing. So don't be surprised.
2. Kagami is easily the most interesting character and you'd be best served thinking the story revolves around him.
3. Everyone else is either a doll/puppet, comic relief, or a statistic.

I may hold on my plan for a little while because Garo 3 actually fits all of my requirements XD and I am also watching Garo 3 now...

But as a rider fan, eventually I will watch them all, but may be in the order Kiva->Hibiki->Kabuto->Den-o

The reason I choose Kiva:
1)it seems like the main hero at least in the first couple episodes makes an attempt (intentional or not) to hide the identity, which makes it a bit more realistic ??

2)Inoue? (after watching the 40th anniversary movie featuring ooo, I give up any hope on Shoji Yonemura's abiity...spoiler alert )

He's pretty milk-toast to me. He'll be involved in "Agito," only to later make "Kamen Rider the Next" (my pick for one of the worst movie adaptions). So meh.

3. Kiva has romance, which is sort of new (does Hibiki has romance also?)

There is one great romance, but it's killed off pretty quickly.

4. seems like kabuto has the most amount of plot holes compared to other (Hibiki, Kiva, and Den-o)

Kiva has MASSIVE plot holes, or even just things they don't explain whatsoever. I won't mention them, because I hate spoilers.

Kabuto shot itself in the foot with Kagami. The moment he becomes a Rider, you really get the sense that the story was leading up to him becoming the real hero. One episode later, never mind, he's useless.

Since I'm probably one of the few who actually likes Kiva, Go for Kiva! :anime:

You are not alone. Kiva is my first seres and I will always like it. I rewatched Kiva recently and got lots of new feelings. Characters are lovely, relationships are interesting (though odd, form time to time), but second part was bad. It was written awfully.

Kabuto is just for show. No plot, no char development, just epicness, action etc. I like it, too.

Hello all:

Which one would you recommend? I have watched Kuuga to Blade, and Decade to Wizard (currently watching)

I am planning to pick either Kabuto or Kiva next. I heard both of them are pretty bad lol but I decide to give it a try.

and I am only going to watch 2 episodes per week so I would like to choose a better one to watch for the next 6 months.

I would like the story to be: (from important to not-so important)
1. serious
2. have drama
3. kind of dark
4. hopefully it does not have those "2 episodes for a story that does not even relate to the plot" like we are having now since Decade...it is not bad but I would like to see a more story-driven series

So which one should I pick? Thanks in advance to everyone

This is going to be difficult due to based off your criteria either one is good.

1. Neither Kabuto or Kiva don't have their serious moments. One can say Kabuto stays serious more consistently but to enjoy either series taking anything serious won't do you any favors. I will say the battles in Kabuto are usually played a lot more seriously and somewhat more entertaining.
2. Related to the serious trait, both shows have their moments but if I had to chose Kiva's drama moments were a lot stronger then the ones in Kabuto.
3. Both, although Kabuto is a bit darker in content but neither is that dark.
4. Its Kamen Rider, aside from maybe one episode in most of the modern series always have the 2 episodes one story type story telling.
