Which Kamen Rider Series Should I Start On?

I would start off with W since it's the most recent one. But if you want to take a crash course, then I suggest watching Decade. However I think that you should follow whatever plan you have in mind.

Thanks, and thanks everyone for your suggestions, I already started on Faiz and I'm loving it, after I'm done Faiz I'll probably watch Agito, and Ryuki before I start on some of the other ones.

Kamen Rider Black...then Black RX.

Mach, I think it's pretty much mandatory at some point that you watch Black and RX. It's the quintessential Rider show that defined the whole franchise

I would also suggest Kiva, Ryuki, and Amazon

I saw some of Kiva before so I'll definitely get to that, I'll get to Black and Black RX after I watch 2 or 3 more series after Faiz, I just want to see Black and Black RX in HQ and subbed well since it's one of the older Kamen Rider series.

If you want Showa Rider series that are fully dubbed besides Black and Black RX (they're both almost finished to being fully dubbed as I've heard), Kamen Rider Amazon is another unique choice. BLOOD AND GORE OF AMAZON FTW!!!!!

I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents, as someone who's only really started watching Kamen Rider.

I started Kamen Rider W, when it was up to Episode 20, and fell in love with it straight away. It has good writing, fantastic action, and is a really good series.

I was going to start Decade, but after talking to a few guys about it, I felt I'd miss out on a bit of the fun of Decade, as I wouldn't know who anyone was, and so Den-O was suggested, as I was told the humour was similar to W.

I'm about 14 episodes in to Den-O at the moment...and I'm having trouble with it. It's more humour based than a lot of the series are supposed to be, but...it seems lacking, especially compared to Den-O.

Thanks to W, I plan on going back and watching all the series, and then attempting Decade, but I'm not sure I would have felt the same if I started with Den-O.

I know there are subs of Kuuga out there. I know the complete series has been subbed... though it's just bumped up HK subs, which I watched, but at the very least, they are understandable.

This is exactly the point I was trying to make. If you're a guy that likes humor BUT wants to know more about the actual essence of Kamen Rider, you start with Kamen Rider W. At least with W, you'll still get some sense of the true essence of Kamen Rider while having some humor around it. Unlike Den-O, which is essentially absent of most Kamen Rider-like quality except for the bike.

Like I said... Start with Faiz or Blade to get the overall J-Drama vibe the genre gives for the Heisei era.

When you want old school badassery you go with Black & RX first.

Everything else can wait.

Kamen Rider Hibiki is one of the only tokusatsu shows I've seen to develop real, interesting characters. The show transcends from the horrid cliches and barriers built by Toei's biggest money-makes, and is real joy to watch. The production staff change was a real shame.
