Which combat type do you prefer in FF games ?

Which combat type do you like the most in FF games ? If possible, give a reason as to why you prefer it over the others.

I like Final Fantasy 10 CTB system the most. I prefer turn based systems in general as I think they require more strategy yet are relaxing in a way. It managed to improve the old turn based system and also managed to make every party member distinct and useful. Final Fantasy XV combat system is not far behind though, I really liked it, but I think the wait mode was "out of place", if that makes sense. I guess it did make the game slightly easier for the more casual players though.

I think conditional Turn based in the best option. The 2 sequels of Final Fantasy X are more well received than the sequels of 13. Real time Battle is more fitting for action shooters and survivor horror games. It doesn't fit with the chess like strategy concept JRPG's have.

I think my personal favorite is the MMORPG type. If it gets mixed with the FPS and strategy that would be good too. I think FF series experimented with RPG type. So I am not sure which they may try in future.

I am oldschool so I prefer turned base. It doesn't feel final fantasy if you directly attack enemies.This is a JRPG not a hack and slash.

I prefer turn based, but I’ve grown to appreciate the if/then battle system of ff12. I wish you could do a tiny bit more customization in the commands, but I dig it. And every now and then I’ll kick through some FFX-2 b/c the pacing of battles is so quick.

I don't like the battle system of 15. I prefer old school turned base. The newer combat systems just dumbed things down for casuals who don't like challenges.

I like every combat type of Final Fantasy games. But what I like most was Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts' combat system. I seem to enjoy fast-paced action games more compared to the classic turn-based style. I would also like a return of the Chrono Cross combat system if possible.

In case of fast action based then you must be enjoying the FF15. Because that seems to be more fast like comparing to DMC level. Though DMC is completely on another level. Just like darksiders.
