Where's it best to start with Ultraman?

Are the Tokuplex subs for Max better than the ones I'm getting off demonoid? or are they the same ones renamed?

You can decide on that. I won't watch someone else work when I am finishing up the work.

Yes and no. This was discussed more in depth in the General Ultraman thread but... The original Ultraman was a sequel to Ultra Q and took place in the 1990s. Then Ultra Seven came along and was intended to be totally unrelated to Ultraman. It took place in the 1980s

Yeah, it was never intended to be a sequel to Ultraman until Return of Ultraman came along and was all like "WE'RE JUST GONNA MAKE THIS ALL ONE BIG THING, MMKAY?" According to Ryuuseipro, it was originally looked at as being more of a reboot of the Ultra franchise - wiping the slate to try something a little different. The same could probably be said of Ultra Q and Ultraman, even though they're more or less in continuity with one another.
