It's a pretty powerful story. The whole lie about a sunlight allergy just pushes the "exploitation" buttons in me, however. They take away her name, force her to work on endless projects, lie to her about her own health and don't even let her eat her own birthday cake. Alphabet Soup can go to hell. And for being able to elicit that response from me, the writers did their job once more.
Oh yes, Alphabet Soup, a shadowy cabal answerable to no one that can take you away and no one will ever know; even before Venjix, the world of RPM was a pretty messed up one.
They do a really good job showing the concept of hazy, painful memories. The fact that Venjix is using wave tactics means he's already more intelligent than other ranger/sentai villains, and held the top position until Enter came around.
Seriously, the chain was almost unnecessary. Scott could have pulled the same trick that Dillon pulled on him and taken out Dillon's sparkplugs.
And even with that idea in place, they didn't even give a montage showing them training with the chain...because the idea of Scott trusting Dillon enough to not race off with him attached was all that was needed. No need for comic hijinks, especially when...oh yeah, what was the problem again...oh that's right! Dillon's Going to Lose His Humanity!
