Geeze, I am starting to wonder if there will be a Fang memory left even for Phillip..maybe he wasn't even able to get one?

I thought it was something like that, thanks for confirming! I've seen some complaints about that on a Japanese board, and the inflated prices it's been going for (though it seems to be going down now.) Hopefully Bandai will be making some more, it doesn't seem very fair to the average store-going customer. In the past I'd see any DX belt or weapon at Toys R' Us, etc., but with Double the stuff vanishes quickly. I see the Metal Shaft now and then, but that's about it.

Iga, how many Double Drivers have you come across? I know those have been rare as of late too.

I never see Double Drivers in stores anymore, just going for anywhere between 8,000 and 10,000 yen+ online, and they still get snapped up instantly. It's a pretty expensive belt already so I guess that increase isn't so bad if you really want it, but I'd have trouble paying over a hundred bucks for a new DX toy, which are usually the sort of thing that you can get for huge discounts later on (i.e., Kiva.) Though speaking of that, with Kiva at least you could buy the stuff the whole time the show was on, then the prices came down as they cleared it out for Decade stuff. It feels almost like they only made so much Double stuff, then stopped. You can't buy the belt directly from Amazon anymore, last I checked. Is Double that popular? It doesn't really feel like it to me, but who knows.

According to Mr. S, from CSToys, it was a hot commodity on the market and it was in high demand among children as there were many parents looking for and asking for it because they couldn't find it in any of the conventional places, ie Toys R Us, Amazon, etc so they were looking for other ways. They are only able to get so many from their wholesaler and even found some at a small local store to get some in stock. Sounds like it's hot, although if it's sold out at Toys R Us, it's not just the international fans.

I didn't even know there was a limited-edition version of the Joker memory! I've also seen a second one that looks similar (with Shotaro pictured on it in a different spot) that's single-carded, how is that one being released?
I'd been planning on getting this eventually, but I'm bummed that I probably missed out on something limited that I won't find again without being wallet-gouged.

EDIT: It seems it include a child coat when you purchase it =O. The Memory is multi-functioned too, it seems to have quite a lot of voices.

That's the one. I thought it had to do with that sweet kid-sized Windscale jacket, but wasn't sure. So is it like the Fang Memory's bonus, but with more expressions?

I was able to get the one From CS Toys thanks to knowledge and a keen trigger finger, sorry social_deviance. Haha. I will be sure to review it as soon as I get it from them. I feel bad I had to pay extra for it, but I guess that's what happens when retailers get a hold of a limited edition version of an item.
But yes, from what I hear from Mr. S, and the community in general. Bandai's production of the Double toys have been very low, and the toys are near impossible to come by, even on Japanese store shelves. I'm not sure whether this is a case of Double being VERY popular, or rather the stock actually being that low.
I hope a review pops up of the Joker Memory that comes with that kid's jacket. Wonder if it's worth tracking down.
