What make Super Sentai and Kamen Rider so successful show

Well one thing is that both shows have a history that runs a long way back. Both are around 40 years old each so that's a long time to be running.

I guess the key to success is how many people watch it. The ratings do falter from time to time, but as shows commercialized as family entertainment, I'm sure they can attract audiences (especially since they are using really good-looking actors).

Also toy sales are big part of it. Merchandising in Kamen Rider and Super Sentai bring in huge profits for Bandai, which is why we still haven't had either go on hiatus despite low(er) ratings.

They consistently reboot so no continuity gaffs are possible. A new viewer can watch Gaim without watching Wizard for example. The only possible exception is Black and Black RX.

When you look at the ratings they have had the recent years, I don't think the shows themselves are that successful.
The toys on the other hand are usually a big hit. In the local toy store that I went to during my years in Japan, I remember entire sections of KR, SS and Ultraman merchandise. It almost made up half of the store.
The vinyl figures had an entire aisle to themselves!

Kamen Rider and Super Sentai has been aired more than 30 years.

Usually, to become the big hit title, one show must aired for a long period, and consistent.
example :
DC, marvel, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Dragonball, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Gundam, Supernatural. etc
