What kamen rider show will they adapt next?

I think it's a bit too early for Den-O to be adapted, if it ever gets adapted. Den-O is great and all on its own, but it's far more campy and kid-oriented compared to other rider shows. The idea is to establish Kamen Rider as NOT being Power Rangers... Den-O would just reinforce the association with Power Rangers and Kamen Rider could fall flat here because of it.

Now don't get me wrong, I loved Den-O, but I think KR needs to be established as a more serious show and appeal to a wider audience in order for it to be a success here in America.

Power Rangers generally does more harm than good to the general perception of toku here, but besides PR most people here haven't had that much exposure to the stuff, so they think it's campy and lame and are unwilling to give other shows a fair chance. Kamen Rider has the potential to be a big hit and could finally reverse this bad situation. However, one wrong move and it could fail miserably. That's all I'm sayin'...

The direction they've gone down now gives it more of a chance of being good if it gets the right timeslot, network and publicity. And if it does manage to get enough, hopefully they'd go on to Faiz. I think working on series a few years older gives them more opportunities to plan how they're going to do them, whereas Power Rangers comes up a year after the sentai series it's based on. So, while the Wangs are working on KRDK, they're also presumably going to be more familiar with the next series, giving them time to plan; whereas if Disney are planning from the next Sentai series, that series is still in progress- if they were working with the entire series, it might affect the path they take at the start, rather than just going straight into things and ending up wherever it takes them without planning a route. ...Hopefully that made sense...

For example, they probably have a good idea of where they're going with KRDK for now. So they could start brainstorming ideas for how they'll adapt Faiz and Blade, with their monsters, later riders/ characters and plotlines in mind. Basically, "hmm, what could we do for this guy?" rather than "Oh ****! how the hell are we going to get that thing to work?"
And it'd also just be weird if they skipped ahead for other reasons- of course, it's a waste of good designs and footage, and if there's some anniversary team up or something they could adapt that too. And they need to establish a fanbase and audience before they start the challenge of Den-O.

Blade was mentioned before as the strongest possibility because it shares the card based powers aspect, but after hearing what that one Japanese article stated about one of the reasons why Ryuki was chosen first over the others (the large number of Riders), I can see Kabuto being next.

Kabuto has the most number of Riders after Ryuki (Hibiki aside anyway - I don't how significant any those numerous misc Riders in that series were). Plus it is a recent show. One with great designs, but really needs to be remade considering how crap it turned out in the end. :shakefist

I still think they should and can do Kuuga and Agito. Or at least use them in some fashion. With Faiz and Blade or even Den-O having so few Riders they could be creatively transplanted over. Probably Blade more so than the others since the designs aren't so drastically different for both the Riders and the monsters.

With Den-O, I think they could turn all of the different forms into different riders. It's not like any of them really resemble on another. I don't really think it would be that big of a problem though, as long as they have different toys to sell, plus they could always do an Imagin-like plot to have more characters through the show.

Logically speaking though, I think Kabuto, Hibiki and Blade have the best chance of being adapted, for the obviousness of Blade and cards and Kabuto and Hibiki's massive number of riders. Femme and Verde being in the series already proves that lack of screen time in the original series won't be an issue. With all of Drgon Knight already done filming though, adapting Blade would probably be the easiest if they want to connect the series.

I just don't see Faiz doing all that well if it's brought over next. The designs are some of the best, but there aren't too many riders and Kabuto trumps it in number of gadgets.

I don't see this being a franchise that's going to follow the next in line, they'll probably play it safe for a while and then go back and adapt older series.

Hmmm....if Dragon Knight becomes successful I'm betting they would use Blade as sequel since they both use a card based system. I would love to see Agito and Faiz be re-incarnated if Adness studios do a good job on Ryuki.

Thing is, Faiz didn't have as many riders, but it had 'good' orphenochs. And DK looks like it'll be using Femme more than Ryuki did, so there's 5 riders in Faiz, counting Paradise Lost, and the 3 (or 4) orphenoch supporting protaganists. Plus all the 'pass the belt' games going on. And of course, there's the advantage of having less riders, meaning they don't have to spend as much budget on having so many and don't have so many characters that some get neglected. Could even give them a chance to introduce new US-only riders.

On Kuuga and Agito, well... I just can't see them including them now that they started with Ryuki (even if it was the easiest to adapt). Kuuga and Agito haven't aged well and just wouldn't impress the US audience, and going back to them would be a big step backwards, so it'd be hard to keep up because the longer they take, the more dated things are going to look.

I don't really think they look dated, but they're a bit different from the shows that followed in terms of the overall look of the costumes. Adapting either of those is a possibility, but I think with all the newer shows they'll probably get neglected.

Hibiki, however, I'm not so sure would go so well...
