To answer the topic of this thread: "What would happen if they switched sides?" my answer is simple:
KR has always been more serious, Sentai incorporates more 'goofiness'. It has always been the order of things since the beginning of time ... to change that would tear open a rift in the space-time fabric, thus disrupting the continum and bringing about the end of the universe.

How fast is the delivery? I've been eyeing that site for awhile.... The more and more I keep watching Tokusatsu, the more I want to go back and watch Agito with actual subtitles. I'm still debating, probably going to break down and use my graduation money this summer though.

Not valid at all. Not everybody is as Xtreame! buttrock: ) as you, dude. Some people just enjoy the genre and that it's easily attained. Some people don't have the money or choose to spend it on smarter things like Savings, bills, future or whatnot.

That's pretty much it.

I fully intend to pick up the Agito subs when I have the cash, but college loans, utilities, food, and my life come first.

Prior to supermarkets and the internet people had to track and kill their own food and then make clothing out of it. There are some people that still do. Now.... I'm sure there's an Xtrmeme minority that does it out of choice and if that is the lifestyle that makes them happiest, then by all means go for it! But not everyone's going to be like that. Some people like to relax and have other things in their life. I don't think to be a fan you have to be "ALL OR NOTHING YOU SPOILED BRAT!!!!" Just some people are more into it than others. And that's a good thing, cuz it'd be nice if these people that are THAT into it were more.... helpful than snobbish. It'd help everyone where speaches like, "My 1337 > j00rz! ell-oh-ell!" don't help anyone except for other elitest and folk who admin TV Nihon.



Because it makes you happy. Because it's fun to you. That's why. Because I've no dout that eventually it'd help out at least one person in getting into Changeman, but now... they'll have to go somewhere else... if it exists. Spoiled? Maybe, but not in a bad way. In a way that gets people to have fun and into the genre in at least someway instead of no way at all.

Wasn't into Magiranger and I haven't loved Power Rangers in years, but I still hold both of the genres close to my heart and am glad to've experienced them and shows like them because if I hadn't I never would've found shows like Blade, GARO, or trying to get my cash together to get Agito and Black.

Delivery's fast, subs are perfect, Ken's a good guy. Anybody who claims that they can't get Agito subbed and for a fair price is now out of excuses. I mean ****, the HK's are TV rips, these things are subbed AND taken from the Region 2's for like 5 dollars more than your average HK set, and you get the movie and special and stuff if you want.

I'm not about to get into this argument again (We Los Classicos can never win! :shakefist), but just think about it like this Keith... we (the people that watch and enjoy these old shows all the time) are not special. It's not like we're uber rich and have duplicates of the film ordered from Toei, or have super sleuth skills and go hunt down these shows from trenchcoated, gun-toting entertainment Yakuza in little Japanese ghettos in SF, or are "l337" like you accuse, or all speak Japanese, for that matter. I mean seriously, we're not special, but it's not hard to go to Ebay and spend a couple bucks on a show here and there. Even Fayt sells copies of a lot of these old shows. The best person to ask here would be Forever Knight, he's been watching all kinds of old sentai (and understanding/enjoying it) and I'm assuming from the way he speaks English that he doesn't speak a word of Japanese. When he does have a question, he starts a thread and Shougo or whoever has seen the show will tell him whats up and he smiles like an idiot and continues watching.

We're not trying to be "l337" but c'mon, if we can do it, so can you.
