What are the chances of finding...

I overheard my sister planing a trip to Japan in 2009, so I might ask her to bring some stuff for me(I'll give her the money for them, of course) So with that said, what are the chances that she'll still be able to find some Go Onger stuff? More specifically, the engines


They should be on clearence by then, right?


Also, would the Shikenger and Decade stuff be out then?

If it's early 2009 then there should be Go-Onger toys since the series only end at that time,but for first half of the year,go-onger toys should be available,but Shinkenger will start to flood the stores,try Nagano Broadway,there's a shop there that even sells old sentai toys.They will put go-on once it got old

So what about the other stuff?

I'm more worried about finding Zeronos and Garo then Kiva

If your sister goes to hobby shops in Japan, she's bound to find some of them.

Depends on when in 2009. In January/February, there should still be plenty of Go-Onger stuff around, and probably cheaper too in preparation for the new show. After the new show starts up, expect to see a lot less after it's all been clearanced at the bigger toy stores, but hobby shops will still probably have a good bit. I don't really pay attention to Sentai toys, but the Geki stuff is all gone at my local Toys 'R Us, and the remaining Den-O stuff is just the bottom of the barrel (the DX Form Changer Zeronos, etc.)

As for the new stuff, it'll come out as soon as the shows are on, but exactly *what* comes out is the question. In 2006, the DX Kabuto Zecter, RH Figure and a couple cheaper toys were all out the day before the show began. With Kiva, there was... less. Again, depends on when in 2009 she's going.

As for the other stuff: SH Kiva is still around, but it depends on the form (I've only seen Dogga & Basshaa at the big places.) You'll only be able to find the others at hobby/collector shops now, they're all off the regular market now.

What about some of the Yahoo! Japan Exclusives stuff? IS there a chance of tracking them down at a hobby store somewhere?

OT, I know... but you might want to try going to Hong Kong sometime. Sure, it isn't Japan but there's some bargains to be had... especially at HK's own Akihabara, Mong Kok.

Among my endless hauls, I picked these for about $10-15 each when I was there in the summer...

They also got lots of SIC too. And there are some small hobby stores that are up-to-date with what's current in Japan as well as past Sentai & Kamen Rider.

I really want to get my hands on New Den-O and Climax Form

NEW Den-O isn't out yet, but may be by the time she goes (and again, it really matters when she's going for some of this stuff.) I haven't seen Climax Form around as much as Wing Form, but it's still out there and can be found at some shops, although it's luck of the draw when it comes to that. The really clever people (like me) bought an extra or two or three or four when it first came out, so I'd expect there to be plenty around. Be prepared to pay at least double the original price for it though, those rarely sell for their original net price.
