What are some of the best Story oriented Toku?

From the recent ones, Agito, Magiranger, GARO, and possibly Cutie Honey The Live. Out of that, Magiranger and GARO stand out more in my mind for my feelings over the characters in the story.

Think he got a mention a bit later so he wasn't completely forgotten, just life moved on. Though agree on the ending, Kuuga felt more like a final battle than Agito's, though Agito's story to that point was better.

Hmm I started watching Agito but didnt finish its (got to about ep 20). Think I might finish it now.

By the way, you might wanna change that avatar buddy

1 Ultraman Nexus:
2 Speilban:
3 Metalder:
4 Kamen rider Kuuga:
5 Garo
6 Kamen rider Agito
7 Gransazer
8 Flashman
9 Gekiranger

those nine, IMHO

1. Another Agito gives up his life to save people, and the next episode it was like he never existed.

2. the last few episodes of Agito were very anti climactic.

Yea, they talked about Kino after his death. Plus that episode took place a month after his death.

Yes, the last few episodes were pretty disappointing. I mean, I get the fact that other people were becoming Agito, but I didn't really care.

I go with Gekiranger, Magiranger and Garo. All were story-driven and had a great plot. They got me in for the ride and it was a great ride!!!

(Just off-hand)

Ultraman Nexus
Kamen Rider Kuuga
Kamen Rider Hibiki
Chou Sei Shin Gransazer
Chou Sei Kantai Sazer-X
Madan Senki Ryukendo

How was Ryukendo story-oriented? Most of the episodes were standalones with maybe a minimal amount of connectivity.

There is an overarching story, as well as character relationships that develop over the course of the show. Secondary characters make appearances repeatedly throughout the show, whereas in most Rider and Sentai shows you only usually see a character for a two episode arc and then they vanish forever. Ryukendo is also the only show I've seen (along with Kuuga) to give it's characters a proper farewell, using the final two episodes to tie things up quite neatly.

well I only watch Sentai so...

1) Magiranger

- really engaging plot imo, and the way the series progresses, there isn't a single "boring" moment in it.

2) Gekiranger

- there are some off moments here and there, but I remembered my heart just pumping really fast when the GekiChopper arc came in and they were searching for that God thingy which turned to be SaiDai.

3) Abaranger

- this is kinda interesting for me cos it doesn't engage me as much as Magiranger, but there was something consistent about the plot that kept me watching. the arcs were fantastically done (I have to applaud AbareKiller... easily the best villain in Super Sentai imo)

4) Timeranger

- it seems kinda slow and boring for myself in the first 10 episodes or so, but things started to get exciting and the last arc was just perfect. <3

Definitely agree with you on that one. But what about Hurricaneger?! Does that also count as one?!?!?
