Course like all movies of it's type it's a pale translation of it's source materiel. Read "Eaters of the Dead" for the full effect.

I have and I enjoyed both the novel and movie. Though the novel did have a more epic feel sometimes from what I remember. :buttrock:

The Keithster was attempting to quote Star Wars, but in his example, the universe was a universe of bad things. So the bright center would be terrible, and 13th warrior would be really far away. I guess.

I really liked this movie, especially how they depicted learning a language.

That's one of my favorite things about it too! 13th warrior is one of my top favorite movies, I can't imagine not liking it if taken of it's own merit. I haven't read Eaters of the Dead yet... looking forward to having the time!
