Wanted: Sprite Artist

SaikoDragon

It's Judgement Time!
Im throwing this out there to see if there is any potential. Straight to the point, Im looking and willing to pay for the services of a Video Game Sprite Artist. Just basically, if you can draw, for example, 80x80 or 80x100 and similar sizes and draw several differant poses and/or actions so that they can be framed together for animation then you can Sprite. lol.

Btw, Im not asking for Megaman sprite edits. So if all you can do is edit some Megaman sprites really nifty like, that's not exactly what Im asking for. Im looking for ultimately anything. If you can do Fighter type sprites thats great. If you can do Secret of Mana style sprites thats great. Just whatever kind you can do, show me your works and examples in the thread if you are interesting.

Summary: Im looking for a Video Game Sprite artist. People who already know what a Sprite is or have done it before, should have an idea of what Im looking for in the first place. I am willing to pay for their services. Please let me know.

Unfortunately my sprite skills aren't that good yet, still learning, haven't even tried animating one yet.

Animation would be my job. You or the Sprite Artist would just have to draw all the necessary frames so that I can put them together and make it animated. Because in most cases, sprites dont become antimated until they are put into the actual programming of the game engine or video game. In rare cases, you have to animate them before putting into programming. It depends on the situation of what the programmer is trying to do. In my case, I need sprite sheets so that I can take the sprites themselves and put them together in the game.

Summary: You wouldnt need to animate them. Just draw them using one foot and then using the other so I can put that together to make it look likes hes walking. lol. (as a simple example)

A little more inforamation

For the sprites, I would offer artists a professionaly drawn picture to look at and the idea is that they would need to redraw that as a 80x80 80x100 sprite character for use in a video game.

Update:

Basically, if you can do this:

testspritething2.bmp

and if you can re-create that with walking (6 frame animation), running (6 frame), attacking (probably just 1-2 frames honestly. Nothing special) positions then you got the job. Hell if you can improve upon the poor work I just did (yeah, I made that little sprite) then that's even better.

Just wanted to throw that out in case anyones confused about the type and quality of sprites. And remember, each character gets his/her own artwork to look off of, so you wouldnt be spriting from imagination.

Anywho, I dont hold much hope here. I never can seem to find a spriter. The games I could be making right now if I just had drawing talent.
