Virtual Boy Coming To Nintendo Switch Online — And You Won’t Believe How

I want to play Jack Bros. again. That was the only Virtual Boy game I truly loved, and it was my introduction to Atlus. Today, Atlus is huge with Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, but back then, I only knew them from Jack Bros. Bringing that game back on Switch would mean a lot to me. Even if the Virtual Boy library is small, the memories it carries for certain people are powerful. This is why I am excited.

I never owned a Virtual Boy when it first came out, but I remember seeing it in magazines and thinking it looked futuristic. Then I tried it at a store demo and immediately felt dizzy. Hearing that Nintendo is finally adding it to Switch Online feels like a strange dream, because for decades they acted like it never existed. I think it’s a good move for history though. Even failed systems have value, and some of the games actually looked fun in screenshots. I do not expect to play long sessions inside a plastic shell, but I am curious enough to give it a try.
