Using the forum to send a fan request to Toei

Well, thats something i have always been thinking about. As this is the section for suggestions regarding forum i thought about putting that here, as i did not really know where to post this.

Super Sentais are not licensed in Western countries, and we have Power Rangers.
Toei already knows there are fan subs and started fighting against that.
But i was wondering if there is not a luck, even little, that us fans can convince Toei to sell SS episodes in Europe, assuming many fans dl non official stuff because there are no legal version.Of course some people will always dl regardless of what is available, but i think there is a market for SS.

Here what the posts could be:"Hello Toei, i am a fan of SS and ready to buy dvds of Old sentais that were Licensed in Europe in the past.I will also buy new and recent SS.I would be happy if you considered selling subbed dvds about them, creating a western podcast platform, or selling non material version of episodes with subs.

You would please thousands of fans doing that, and people are really nostalgic regarding SS."

HJU is one of the two most popular tokusatsu fan site and forum.
Maybe this suggestion will seem naive and stupid, but my desire to find back official versions about all those wonderful sentais is so strong i think we can always try.

On a marketting point of view, the story of a company deciding to sell after a request from fans of the western could be a very good way to promote show, and to create a nostalgy wave.

From what I hear, the less TOEI knows about the fandom outside of Japan, the better.

People in charge over there are old school and don't get the internet or "fan communities."

They know control of their product and anything else they would want to crush.

I was hoping that somehow, the issue of "fansubs" could be used as a way of promoting shows and selling them.

Some musicians are happy when their songs are downloaded illegally because they get advertisings, or some publishers start thinking it helps them(Minecraft)

But i guess big companies hesitate more about this and are still "old-school" as you say.

Unnnnnnnn, since when?

Also, Toei doesn't care about any country viewing it's product outside Japan

The only reason they take down fansubs on youtube is that Japanese speaking audiences can still hear the dialouge

That's not true at all.

This content is specifically made for inside Japan only.
