Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger Season 2 - Discussion Thread

I want Takaiwa's jacket. It's the best part of the episode.

Yoshinori Okamoto says hi, and that he's one hundred times cooler than Takaiwa's scuzzy 19 year old jacket.

Oh, and that Takaiwa's appearance was completely gratuitous. And shame on the writers for bringing up Mega friggin' Blue and not Go Red. (Go Red's the only time Seiji's been good in a Sentai, IMO. He does his best work on Rider.)

[Guardian07]

I thought something was off. The list was too short. Yes, he's GoGoFive's GoRed, and also he's TimeRed for most of Timeranger(I believe that was his last role in Sentai until Magiranger).

...wait, I just remembered. He's also DragonRanger!

No one cares about your old people Shougo.

And that's a big problem with the fandom...

Who is KozKoz dressed as in 9?

Kozkoz's outfit looks like one of the male uniforms (yes women had a completely different one for some reason) from Changeman. I didn't notice anything that would indicate it was a specific one of the three male Changeman though.

And her singing voice at the end of this episode was really lovely. :anime:

Well, at least Figuarts has a reason to sell more copies of the Itasha Robo. Slap on some new decals (or just paint them onto the figure) and call it Itasha Boy. So, yeah... There's that. :eyebrow:

Mecha Gigan Update!

What's the name of the giant fish-headed robot monster that General Two created this week?

I just saw the subbed version of episode 9 and the name of the Mecha Gigan is Coelacanth Canth.
