Was it released with subtitles? anyone know a good place to find a copy?.

I found one being sold on Ebay.

But I think it's just a normal Toei DVD that has subs and isn't region free which is pretty fucking useless for me. I was under the assumption that Shout! or Media Blasters had released this?..

It says in the description that it's region free. Even if it's not, I'm sure you can find a way for your computer to play it. Or just get a cheap DVD player from chinatown and it'll play all asian and american regions.

Ultraman The Next never had an official DVD release in the States. Your only choices are downloads, bootlegs, or the Region 2.

Wow I wasn't aware Toei was now the proud owner of the Ultraman franchise. When did this happen? :loltongue: I'd also look into seeing if your DVD player has a region hack. Many do. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks ...as simple as pressing a few buttons on your remote.

FK, that DVD you linked to is a bootlegged down-sampled copy. The real R2 copy would only cost like 10 dollars extra. If I were you I would buy the official copy, and burn myself a region free copy for use on your tv.

I already own a burned copy of the movie. I was just under the asumption that it was released in North America by Media Blasters. But I was totally wrong.

That is fine. I just bought Mechanical Violator Hakaider instead. :thumbs:
