I'm not buying the whole "not used to the cage" excuse from all these Pride guys--the problem is they just get overhyped by UFC management and then when they don't fair well they have to come up with something to save face. I was rooting for Liddell, mainly because I hate Wanderlei Silva, but also because he's had such a bad year, I'd like to see him get serious and push himself with a comeback. If Liddell would cut out all that partying, taking MySpace pictures and ****, drop about 10 pounds, and actually train, he could be a great fighter, but with his wild brawling style and "lucky" knockouts, I've never really seen why people like him so much. I knew all it would take was a few people to man up and beat him before people realized that he's not invincible and then he'd just be exposed as the mediocre athlete he is.
St. Pierre, my boy... no explanation needed there. As much as I dislike Hughes, it was pretty classy of him to admit that St. Pierre is a better fighter.
Other than the main event fights this PPV sucked... glad I didn't pay for this one.
