Sweet! Thanks for the pro-tip, KC! I'll probably just do the under layer, glue it together and then cover it all in yellow electrical tape, to give that banded leather feel that seems to be so trendy.

I AM DONE!

well with the exception of baking the earrings I am. today I set out to start and finish my belt which was the last of my tasks.

It took a bit of trial and error but I finally got it done! I'm not 100 % happy with it but I had to work with the materials at hand for now until I can search for a better material.

Now I can't spoil all the fun...More pictures to come after Halloween and Youmacon end

Unfortunately this is the only picture I took of this costume......sadly it is terribly uncomfortable. I have plans to remake the dress and hopefully it will be much better next time around. I also have plans to throw on this one again for better photos of the whole thing. But I have left you all in suspense long enough so there you have it. My completed Jem costume.

This particular fabric doesn't breath well. So when you add this enormous wig to the mix it was quite warm and uncomfortable. Also it's a touch too short so bending over is an absolute no. I want to remake it anyways because this fabric is also very fragile and a stretch too far and ruin the whole outfit. It'll happen. Once I make my spandex house order for my Xmen cosplay I'll be ordering Jem fabric as well.
