This one NEARLY slipped my mind, but the final Takara season based on G1, Victory , is now available in Region 2. Undubbed, and with subtitles. Commentaries on three episodes by friend and Transfan legend Chris Mcfeely

No news yet on whewnever Metrodrome will release Beast Wars II or Beast Wars Neo, but if they do I hope they include the only episode of Transformers: Zone., which is'nt includeed here despite being the last "G1 Takara" instalment

One question regarding this release: did they keep everything from the original DVD's (including the commercial break cut) and is the translation up to par?

The commercial break cuts are there. The translation's are only subtitled, but generally pretty good, it's better than the Headmasters flukes

Is this dubbed or subbed? Cause quite honestly, I'm actually thinking about picking up these boxsets. I'm in the process of getting an open region dvd player.

GAH!!! Masterforce and now Victory!?! I HATE region 2!!!

You could always buy an open-region dvd player...and as for that cell...I hate you. I actually have Zone on VHS somewhere

Headmasters is subbed and dubbed (with what Transfans know as the dreaded "Singapore dubbing", which is either painful, or hilarious), Masterforce and Victory are subbed.
