And why do Transfans hate The Rebirth? It's a great three part story that suffered tons of problems (it was cut down from five parts to three), but managed to end Generation One admirably. Then again Marv Wolfman's "Return of Optimus Prime" was just as good, and better animated.

Mega... seriously man. It's not a Teaser trailer. It's an announcement Trailer. The movie has only been filming for 21 days now. None of this footage is from the actual movie. It's just to announce that it's freaking coming.

You cite the Spider-man 3 trailer well Spiderman3 actually had footage to pull from! It was a teaser! an official teaser! This has no footage to pull from, isn't the teaser trailer.

I thought it was very bad ass, myself. If you're going to be this demanding of the movie now, then you wont enjoy the final product at all

Hell fucking yeah it does! Kremzeek is one of my favorite G1 episodes! It's hysterical! Optimus Prime was the MAN back then.

Uhm so, if we follow this trailer, that means they won't use the original story line where the Transformers crashed on earth 4 million years ago, instead, they purposely come to earth and make a pitstop on Mars?

Exactly, they just started filming. It's a rushed job. they should have waited till they actually had something to preview, everyone knows this movie's being made. they should have waited. My hopes for this film just sink lower and lower. It should be so easy to make this film, but they want to re-invent the wheel apparently.

I think some of the factions are trapped in the artic (which is where The Ark crashes in the movie, adapting the first Dreamwave story arc in some way), and the Martian fleet is really a secret armada waiting for Megatron to summon them, reneforcements or otherwise.

I cant argue there. But if the rumors about the teaser are true, we are going to be rewarded for our patience in the end.
