Hrm...toku shops in the area.
Most of my toku purchases come when Comic-Con rolls around.
Barnes and Noble sells Figuarts MMPR Black Ranger. (snicker)
Rising Sun Comics in Mission Valley is sort of like an import shop, and carries tons of Gundam Kits, and some Play Arts - but I can't remember ever seeing Figuarts/toku merch there.
There is however, a fairly decent section of town where you can find asian/Japanese shops, in Miramar/Kearny Mesa/Clairemont Mesa.
Mitsuwa marketplace in Kearny Mesa might be a good place to check. (There should be a Trendy inside, and this is what you're aiming for)
Book Off, in Kearny Mesa might also be a good spot.
