I was wondering. Which toku shows that were exported outside of Japan, were popular outside of Japan? And where and when?

Most 80s-90s Sentais, Metal Heroes and Riders have large fanbases in Brazil and Southeast Asia.

Yes, and because of that Brazilian fans are the worst ever. They only know how to talk about the old series that they saw in mid 80s/90s. New ones for them are just to complain.
And also 80s Sentais did lot of success in France.

They show Kamen Rider in China right? I know iUltraman's real popular there, but I don't know about other Toku shows.

I'm not sure as it was a long time ago when I went...I think it was sometime in 2006-2007.
I do remember that nearly all the toy stores there had some kind of Ultraman section.

In the Philippines: Kamen Rider Black, Maskman, and Shaider are three most memorable tokus that were shown over there :buttrock:

Well couldn't you say the opposite is also true? We have lots of new toku fans who only know the late 90s/00 shows and think they're so great, and pay little to no mind to the old ones. I am one to believe that the people who grew up with this genre during those years have a fairly good idea about what it is and have a wider knowledge (At least those who aren't working off just nostalgia.), more so than those who have just come off the boat, so to speak, in this decade.

Metal Hero: Gyaban/Sharivan/Shaider/Juspion/Spielvan/Metalder/Jiraiya/Jiban/Winspector/Solbrain
Kamen Rider: BLACK/BLACK RX
Ultraman: Ultraman/Ultraseven/Tiga
Others: Spectreman/Fuuin Lionmaru/Kaiketsu Lionmaru/Ryuukendo
There were some others, but I can't remember. But the most was exhibited in a lame way, like the Uchuu Keiji trilogy being showed out of order and in different TV stations, also happened with Lionmaru.
And their fans thinks that was great, the best... such a shame.
In Brazil, most people lives always with nostalgia, and in Tokusatsu, this is the worst. An example: BLACK and BLACK RX were aired in Brazil, and everyone was complaining about Decade, saying things like "it's too gayish", "Tsukasa's a lame" and booed. When they knew that DCD would have BLACK and BLACK RX worlds, they changed their minds only because of nostalgia.
That's why I hate most of my country's Tokusatsu fans. I'm a fan that respect the past, like the past, but don't look always on the past.
