The people that own the rights to Voltron in the US, New World Events (?) have been working on and trying to get a Voltron movie made for years now but I don't know how that's progressing or if it will be live-action or not.
I would guess that if Transformers is a hit, you'll be seeing a LOT of these older titles turned into films. My guesses would be Voltron, Robotech and possibly other Hasbro properties like Jem would be amongst the first wave.

Provided you could cast it well and do good make up and CG work you could get a cool film out of it.
I would worry that like the recent DC Comics they would try too hard to grim n' gritty it. I mean obviously we'd want more action than the orginal toon could have with all the restrictions on tv animation at the time but I would hate to see ThunderCats turned into a gory bleakfest either.
I guess I'd want the film to maintain The ThunderCats heart and heroics.
