The World Television Title

Ok this is something that has been on my mind for YEARS.

Why call it TV title? Why?. I heard because the title holder has to defend it at every televised event. But I'm not sure if this is true.


For the love of God why name a title like this?.

The only TV title I know that deserves respect is ECW's because of Taz, Bam Bam, and Mr.Payperview.

I think that's supppose to be the case, but I heard the WCW tv title was defended at house shows too, so who knows.
