The Wecker Series

I just want to know what series is about, I got the subbed version of 1 of Signa but I feel a bit let out of loop on this series, and The fack that it had two preceding series. Can anyone give a general overview on what the series are usually about and how good the other series are, please?

I've just seen part of the first two series. They're basically about an elite division of police from about 100 or so years in the future that travel through time to stop time criminals from manipulating the past. They are called Wecker which is supposed to be a German word which means alarm clock. Based on what I've seen they're main objective is to preserve the timeline. Though I don't know how in depth they go into that.

The first series was just three eps released direct to video. It followed three different female Jikuu Keiji plus one male, Varn (who is back in Signa) who's stories were interconnected. There was a single villain from what I could tell. It's comes off rather low budget but I liked what I saw of this Wecker.

The second series, D-02, aired on TV for about 9 episodes and was about a Wecker team that was stationed in the year 2002. This series didn't use the Chrono suits or "external form" like the first series and Signa. Well from what I saw. I think it was supposed to be more drama based than hero based but I don't think it did too well with that. What I saw of this series was rather boring. With all the show's fan service, I don't think even for straight guys the show would be very good.

Wecker Signa becomes better with every episode.
The first episode is not useful to say if the show is good or bad.So continue watching. =D
Btw thanx ShadowRider for uploading Wecker Signa to Veoh.

Sorry to bump this thread. I thought I had a pre-existing Wecker thread, but I couldn't find it so I guess not. Since this thread is here with it's title I figured this was a good place as any for this.

Anyway, I've just finished up the Wecker series, kinda backwards and intermingled from Signa to the original Video series. So I thought I'd post my thoughts. This is sort of a mimi review, but I don't go into any real spoilers. And as it turns out I've changed my mind on some thing:

So I had first started off Wecker with the second series, D-02. I stopped watching about halfway through because I was finding it boring. Then just before Signa was to start I was able to see the first episode of the first Wecker, and I liked it. I also later saw the second episode while I was following Signa.

I ended up really liking Signa. It had what I felt D-02 lacked, well the costumes for one, but also action though the acting was about the same. Maybe worse at times considering the girls' ages. Signa was a nice adventure and it was cool to see some male cops kicking ass too. Although what business Hiroshi Watari's character had doing in this series was questionable. It was a fun series anyway and it had a surprising finale.

So after finishing Signa I decided I might as well give D-02 another chance. I had said the show sucked, but I take that back now because I was pleasantly surprised. I had left off on the fourth episode and it was okay, better than the previous. So I tarted back on the series on episode five and it was okay too. Not much action but the story was good. And the rest of the series was pretty good through to the end. It;s wacky at times but I still enjoyed them, and there was actually some decent action in a later episode while the finale had an amazing story. Though like Signa I'm still a bit confused on some of what was going on. ^_^; At least they used a Chono Suit for the finale, I liked that.

And now I've just finished watching the final episode of the original series and it was fascinating. It brought the first three episodes literally full circle. I like how interconnected the three Jikuu Keiji's stories were, and how they made use of the time travel theme. Also, those Chrono suits were pretty cool and were a nifty design. I can't forget Hiroshi Watari's character, he was so cool, though how he ended up in Signa still baffles me. O_O

Anyway, I never knew what to expect from the Wecker series, it's got a lot of fan-service but still has some substance. Now that I've seen it as a whole I really liked it and am very glad to have seen it. Hopefully there will be more in the future. :) And it's hard to say but I think it's rivaling Rosetta as my favorite. Though I think we also need to see a new Kamen Tenshi series sometime!
