The Valiants (Rated 12) - Application Thread

This sounds like fun, but I'm a little sketchy on the plot and who they're fighting. Could you help me out?

Individual villains, these are classic superheroes that don't have a main enemy like Tokusatsu heroes.

REAL NAME: Kyle Marks
AGE: 21
D.O.B. April 4, 1979
ETHNIC ORIGIN: Caucasian American (Or whatever the USA is called in this timeline. Could he still be considered American? :eyebrow: )
OCCUPATION: Works at a small diner.
ALIGNMENT: Good
ALLEGIANCE: Kyle goes where he is needed, but doesn't really stay in a team very long.

ALIAS: The Combatant
POWERS:

Expert in hand-to-hand combat, especially in the field of disabling an enemy of their weapon.

Skilled in battle tactics, basically is really good at coming up with plans.

WEAKNESSES: Is a bit naive when it comes to beautiful women as in he pretty much believes whatever a good-looking girl says. He also is not skilled in a variety of world languages, so he can only really comprehend english. He also has no super power to speak of, leaving him at a disadvantage with the other super beings.

GADGETS: The Combatant is equipped with an Army issue knife, along with metal platted gloves. He works at a diner so his budget is quite limited.

REGULAR APPEARANCE: Kyle is about 6'ft 3 with dark brown hair. He likes wearing black and has a pair of shoes with the words 'lucky' written on them. Here's an example: http://bishounen.info/duo/duo1.jpg

COSTUME APPEARANCE: Imagine Beach Head from GI Joe. Don't know him? Also, he doesn't have the massive of muscles and duel handguns, he doesn't like guns. :sweat:

PERSONALITY: Kyle is very up beat and lively. While some may incorporate this as the stereotypical American personality, in reality, he just looks on the brightside of life. Kyle enjoys many things in life, mostly cooking at the diner and making a difference in the world. And while he does not consider himself a womanizer, he does have a weak spot for pretty women.

HISTORY: Kyle was born in one of the many slums on the eastside of America, and like many others, struggled to live through this hard life. His mother was a refugee from Canada, escaping deportation to England on cyberterrorism charges, and his father was an American scientist who's work included a super soldier project. The scientist was compassionate of the woman's cause for escape and married her to protect her from foreign deportation police. Together, they gave birth to twins, the oldest of the twins being Kyle, the other was named Ben. The serenity did not last long as, for unknown reasons, both of Kyle's parents were gunned down in an alley and, most unusal of all, his brother was taken by the assailant. Since then, Kyle was raised on the brutal streets, where he was thrown into the cold world with nothing to his name. Luckily, Kyle was able to get a job at a small diner, allowing him to barely survive. Kyle then got into fighting villians after much self discovery, realizing that he had the power to help people with his skills in combat. Although he has no clue how he somehow became skilled in military combat and tactics, he hopes that in his pursuit for justice, he will find out some clues about his life... including his missing brother. He also got the suit from an abandoned military base, just to fill in that plothole.

I absolutely love this, and I can see you've taken great thought into it regarding the alternate history. I would suggest a different name (Avenger's been used quite a bit now) but that's nothing major. For your information, it is still America, although anyone actually American is likely to have Germanic heritage too thanks to it becoming the United Territories. My policy, as you know, is that extreme caution should be taken in the application. One or two typos are forgiveable. If you can't work out all of these typos, contact me and we'll go through it together, as I did with Demetrivamp.

Once that's fixed, you should be acceptable.

There are still one or two minor errors, but I won't split hairs here. Welcome aboard. Just remember that a lot of the action will take place in the U.K. since that's the main land of the Valiants, so The Combatant will have to get there at some point. If we can get one more hero actually in the U.K. at the start, we'll have three together, which is a good enough number.

Don't forget people, you can play villains too.
