I love seeing fresh horror films from new directors. Emilie Blichfeldt taking such a bold approach for her debut is impressive. Independent horror tends to push boundaries in ways mainstream films won’t, and this looks like it’s doing exactly that. Hopefully, the film gets enough attention to encourage more creative and daring horror storytelling.

This sounds like the kind of horror I’ve been waiting for. There’s not enough true body horror these days—most horror films just go for cheap jump scares. The idea of a Cinderella story turned into grotesque, historical horror is genius. I hope the practical effects are as gruesome as they sound. Can’t wait to watch this!
