If EMS were a bit cheaper I could justify spending the money but EMS can cost between $15 to $30 if something is shipped from Japan. I have my items shipped via SAL since I typically get my items a couple of days extra then EMS. In other words, if I get something within 72 hours (three days) of it shipped from Japan via EMS then I get it within six days using SAL. EXCEPT. There is always an exception.... EXCEPT DURING THE HOLIDAYS!
I had one package shipped out via SAL around November 30. Here it is December 20 and still no package. -_- I had another item that was released December 7 and it shipped out on the 9th, still no package.
And right now my confidence in the mail is zippo but honestly I can't blame the US Postal Sevice since it WAS UPS that made the mistakes. TWICE. Well, if I take into consideration last year and the year before... more then twice.
Last Thursday the UPS guy came to the door, rang the bell and left. I open the door and pick up the package from Amazon.com. Not my package since I hadn't ordered from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.jp (Japan) in about a month and knew my packages from CDJapan would arrive via US Postal. I look at the address, not my package and in fact it wasn't a package for anyone on my block! The address was for a house 2 blocks away on a totally different street! I had to do a Google Map search for the address and it's no where near my house! -_-
The other day (Saturday) the door bell rang, I answered it and it was the UPS guy again with another package. Luckily he handed it to me and again it was the WRONG address - next door neighbor's (the cop) package.
So, what's your shipping stories for these holiday seasons?
