The themes that should be used for 2012/2013/2014 rider

There's no delicate way to put this so I'm just going to say it:

There is no Toei writer reading this. Nobody who works at Toei is reading any of the threads anywhere on this forum. Nobody who works at Toei knows that this forum exists.

I wouldn't say that noone at toei knows this place / the american fandom exists, but the bottom-line is that they don't have any interest in adapting our ideas for kamen rider into tv series. Or sentai, or any other toku. It's also highly unlikely that they care what we think should happen in their shows.

Part of me wonders though, how many fans do they have in japan, or even in asian countries in general, compared to outside. Like, how many people depend on places like tvnihon and over-time for their subs? I'd bet that if they tried to provide us with a viable commercial option they could make so much more money, not just on current fans either, I'd bet they'd gain alot more fans if people didn't have to go through these technically illegal means. For alot of adults, people who might've grown up watching the earlier series, or watching power rangers, the idea of using torrents or other download methods is confusing or not something they're comfortable with.

Tips for writing a long essay: make sure you put a proper sentence with the right length, break 1 big passage into several passage for easier reading and allow the reader to take a break. Put some dot and comma's to keep track of the sentence's length and finally avoid repeating the same point or sentences over and over again. Can you edit that thread's question based on my suggestion? I really want to try reading it...

Kam, you've already made a topic to discuss this once so I've went ahead and merged them. In the future please reffer to this thread instead of making more.

FUUUUUSION…..HA!

Bug-themed cyborg. Seriously, Bandai, just go old school for a year.

yeah me too in some anniversary season i think

I hope the theme is about post-apocalyptic world when all kamen riders are long gone & most people are forget about their rider-kicking heroes. Kinda steam-punk with many machinery & gears.:buttrock:
And then.... a guy with "unlikely hero" type emerge as the new Kamen Rider & saves the day.:169:
the kamen rider's costume is like the one in Kamen Rider The First/The Next. Y'know, biker leather jacket-like costume with dark colors, but without scarf & he rides a hover-bike.

What do u think? :coolshades:

No it aint

Good point :disappoin but still i wish someone who lives in japan and works in toei would read it and turn into a series someday (sigh)

So its basically just the premise from Kamen Rider Den-O with superfluous modifications.

Actually its four people in 1 kamen rider android body.

If we're just listing what we'd like to see, the two main things I've always wanted to see rider based around are:

1. Cyberspace (Might ever happen)

A rider series that deals with the idea of the internet, software and hardware, hacking, viruses, all that good stuff. But with some kind of strong emotional theme like how gaim tackles the idea of growing up.

2. Jungian Psychoanalysis (Probably will never happen)

A rider series where the riders deal with situations involving the archetypes seen in jungian analysis, an obvious one being the hero(Containing the elements of a persons psyche which they consider virtuous), with other ones being the shadow (Containing the parts of a person that they cannot come to accept)The anima/animus (an Opposite gender being which represents qualities you may lack, but find attractive) or really many other archetypes, monsters and riders could be based on literally anything, but would be derived from those base characteristics. It could be done alot of ways, but I'd like it really surreal, with lots of dark stuff, but also lots of light-hearted stuff to balance it. Alot like gaim in ways, but rather than focsing on kids growing up, it would focus on people of various ages overcoming emotional struggles from past traumas. Sort of like wizard if the monsters had been more like the imagin, in that they come out of a person, or like the yummys, but rather than representing that persons greed, they'd represent their shadow, or some other archetype running amok.

i was thinking of something like that with a wild west theme supporting it. and since sword art online and log horizon is popular, the idea of a digital rider isn't really far fetched.

That pretty much sounds like Betterman, so Bandai's kind of already done that.

Anyway I would like to see a Rider who's Gimmick is that they are partners with a sentient motorcycle, I think it would be a good way to have the "Rider" element be relevant again. A.I. and what makes something a living being could be themes in it.
