I will go out on a limb and say that the newer seasons of The Simpsons are not as bad as people say they are. It improved a lot once Al Jean came back as showrunner, and the last season was actually pretty good. "The Debarted" is one of my favorite Simpsons episodes ever.

As far as which one is better, I think their styles of comedy are different, so it's hard to say. I'd say draw--sometimes I'm in the mood for Family Guy; sometimes I'm in the mood for some Simpsons.
