We don't have a screenshot, nor do we finally have any official artwork, but finally, somebody from Nintendo's development team confirmed Ganon is returning in full force in Twilight Princess. Nintendo Power Volume 201's interview with Yoshiyuki Oyama reveals that Ganondorf is back in Twilight Princess, and he is indeed Link's nemesis for the game. And he says we're going to get more of Ganon than we could ever hope for...

"Finally, no discussion of TP's enemies can end without mentioning Ganon. I know that everyone's wondering what's going on with Link's old nemesis. All I can say now is, we're preparing more than you could possibly ever, ever, ever expect..." That's the quote by Yoshiyuki Oyama that is going to get people all hyped up again. After months of pretty much nothing sense the remarks about a possible "unhappy" ending in Twilight Princess, Nintendo Power's interview finally discloses something new.

Now do you believe us when we say "Ganon is back?"

"And how will my monsters ensure that Twilight Princess is the greatest Zelda game ever? Wait and see. You won't be disappointed." Oyama sure is boasting, but with how much time he has had with this game, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes good on this claim. Additionally, Oyama states he feels enemies have been too easy in the past, and that they will be more challenging in Twilight Princess. He also assures us the bosses will be far more challenging than what we've seen before in Zelda games.

Oyama also mentions his thoughts on the Zelda series in comparison to other adventure RPGs as well as his input about the items used in Twilight Princess and what roles they will play. Unfortunately, we do not have any scans at the moment of this issue, but hopefully we will get them up as soon as possible.

FINALLY!! Boss fights that's worth the challenge. I've always wanted this to happen. They're right, the enemies from the past have gotten way to easy. Especially Wind Waker, although it was a blast playing that game, a little challenge, is a huge plus for me!!

More updated news from thehylia.com...

We potentially have some bad news. Nintendo of Europe today released its Second Quarter release schedule for all systems, including GameCube. The release dates go as far as June 2006, but to our dismay, Twilight Princess is nowhere to be found. Again, this is not confirmation of anything - Europe traditionally gets things last, and this list could be updated at anytime. But still, this does not bode well for fans. Hopefully a release date is revealed soon.

The article was not posted in the press section of the site, nor does Nintendo's Japanese homepage, Famitsu nor Nintendo of America have any updated information on games beyond first quarter 2006. Still, Nintendo has remained very silent about the game's release date, and this newest development is sure to send shockwaves and send some into a state of paranoia.

But again, we please ask you to remember this is not a statement saying the game is not coming out in second quarter 2006 - we still do not know when it is coming out, except it is coming out sometime in 2006.

yeah my Gamestop computers currently list TP as a june release. As For Ganondorf....Guess he's feeling much better from that Master Sword to the Brain at the end of WW.

this doesnt prove that boss fights will be a "challenge". A challenge is really defining of how good of a gamer are you. What could be really hard to a kid might not be hard for you, because you've played games a lot longer.

However, from what I saw on that Forest Temple boss fight, it did look awesome. Not hard but I loved the strategy you had to use.

Annnywho, Ganon. Ganondorf. Did any of us honestly question wether or not he would be in it? Seriously? He's in almost all the Zelda games. Come the hell ON. I think too many people are worried about what's in the game. How about we wait? We've seen enough. We saw the long gameplay video, some of us have gotten to play demos. Must we really ask everything there is to know about the game? Naaah. I say just play it and find out.

Agreed. Seems a weird annoucment that Ganon will be in the game. It's like making an annoucement that Zelda will also be making a guest appearance in the game or something.

Well, TwilightPrincess is being placed before WindWaker so that shouldn't be a problem...

Gee you think?! genious  but what does it matter? :redface2: They just stated that it's tougher. Weither it'll be a big "challenge" for me, or not, I can look forward to dungeons that's a lot challenging then the dungeons from WindWaker. The fact that they had to delay TwilightPrincess, and later stating that this will be an even more tougher game then it's past predecessors, is all cool to me...

omg that's sooo true. I hated Wind Waker with a passion. Graphics were amazing, the humor was great. I laughed many times. But man those dungeons sucked. The sea travel was boring. I really tried to play the game a second time and couldnt. Just got too bored with it.

Even the final boss fight was too easy and the music for it wasnt that great.

They cutted out way to many dungeons on that game. You know that one place where their's that big whale, Jabu Jabu? Their's supposed to be a dungeon their. I guess they had to cut out that certain dungeon for time. Even Miyamoto, was not to impressed with WindWaker, good thing they had to delay TP huh?

Even Miya himself didnt like WW? SAD! So Im totally justified in not liking the game. -_-

Not Ocarina of Time. That was a good game. Forest and Water temples were tough. Who the hell could've guessed there was 1 key hidden outside the damned temple? =_= tricksee bastards.

Oooh and dont get me started on Majora's Mask temples. Only a few of them but daaaamn were they tough. Loved that game. Fierce Diety mask owns

I loved WindWaker, personally, but I agree its no Ocarina.

And I hope to god there's nothing on the level of the Ocarina Water Temple in Twilight. :)

The TP Forest Temple boss is definitely a lot of fun to fight, and I think he's pretty challenging.

And I thought this thread was going to be about this: http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/105053
