You people clearly haven't watched this.

This is the greatest thing to come out of the prequel trilogy. It's breakdown of how stories are told is incredible and a love letter to what we all love most in movies.

For me the best things Star Wars has done that I've been able to enjoy is the Knights of the Old Republic game on the XBox and I've THOROUGHLY enjoyed the tradepaperbacks also set in the KOTOR Universe.

Other than that... Star Wars, once my favorite franchise, really can suck my balls.

I will check back in once we're fucking done with the Clone War era.

Yeah it is frustrating that everything to do with Star Wars has been so prequel centric for so long. Seeing them break it up a little bit with an animated series in the style of Clone Wars but using the old cast set in adventrues in-between the original movies could actually be really neat if done well. You could have a series that's after New Hope but before Empire and another one that follows their search for Han after Empire leading up to before Return Of The Jedi.

Reason I consider this is because one of the positives in my view of the Clone Wars cartoon was that you get a better sense of Anakin as a hero and a friend, he really seems much closer to the guy Obi Wan was talking about in the first movie as opposed to the whinny brat/ticking time bomb he was in the prequel movies.

With Luke over the course of the original movies you can see that he goes from being wide-eyed and kinda dense to the more centered fighter he is in ROTJ. Having an animated series would be an interesting way to actually trace more of that evolution.

BUT they would be over-seen by Lucas who saw fit to the prequels and gratuitous edits in the first place, so maybe we're better off that he's more obsessed with the Clone War era stuff. :disappoin

If I recall, doesnt Lucas also want to make a live-action TV show that takes place between episodes III and IV?

And nothing happen.

Seriously, Lucas George needs to stop milking Star Wars. Enough is enough.
