The never ending climax

It's all on our minds. Why is Den-O getting so much extra stuff after it ended. Other than the S.I.C. toys and what not because even Kabuto toys are still coming out. Theres still so much stuff Den-O's getting that not alot of Riders got. Did it have something to do with the ratings? Were they really that high that Toei wants to cling on to it or do you have your own ideas as to why it's so important? I'd like to hear any ideas you have?

Ratings weren't that great for the series. (well, they kinda were if you factor in all of the other stuff on the air these days) It was the unforeseen popularity of the Imagin in Japan.

Not to mention that it probably had the best music sales of any heisei series. Last I checked, Climax Jump was only about 15K behind 555's OP, but I'm guessing that's changed by now.

Huge merchandising success. Den-O found success not only with little boys, but also girls, train enthusiasts, etc. Basically, Den-O is the goose that lays golden eggs.

On a semi-related note, I find it pretty amusing how people on here are constantly freaking out about Den-O getting more attention. For the longest time everyone was going "Why doesn't Toei do sequels!? They need to continue 555!! I want a sequel to Kabuto! BLAH BLAH!" But as soon as Toei brings back a Rider, the "fans" start shouting "OMG LET IT DIE!! THIS IS STUPID! NEXT YR PLZ!!!1"

This is what I don't get...

Kamen Rider Hibiki ended on an odd note, so the creator promised a sequel, but did not make it.

Yet, Kamen Rider Den-o ended on a high note, it needed no sequel, yet, they made not 1 BUT 2 sequels to Den-o.

I'm not sure Climax Deka is a proper sequel. It was more like an excuse to have another fun romp with the Imagins. Because really, that's what made Den-O popular: the Imagin quartet (plus Deneb and Sieg) found huge success, and rightfully so, as they are hilarious and play amazingly well off eachother. Best match of suit actors and voice actors ever.
