Chrono Trigger really is a phenomenal game, and I think what sets it apart is that perfect blend of storytelling and gameplay mechanics. The time travel aspect not only adds complexity but also keeps players engaged with its multiple endings and timelines. I still remember the first time I encountered Frog, it was such a unique and relatable character arc, especially seeing him find redemption.
As for unforgettable moments, the emotional impact of the scenes in the Kingdom of Zeal still hits hard every time I replay it. For a modern game to capture that same magic, it would need to focus on character development and choices that genuinely impact the story. Maybe something with a similar time travel mechanic or branching paths that feel truly meaningful would do the trick.
What do you think about the idea of remaking it? Would you prefer a straight remake or a game that takes inspiration from it with new mechanics?
