i totally agree that 2d is still one of the best but they release to many chrono trigger game for to many system, and they never told us the truth story about it

The game was ok just confusing.

I didn't find it ok at all. It ruined what happened in Chrono Trigger. That is why i don't even consider CC canon.

And worst of all, no concrete explaination about Magus' abscence.

It was hinted that the floaty magic dude was Magus. (I dont remember their names in CC at all) Of course, I havent played the game in so long, I might be forgetting something that negates him.

Honestly, I loved CC. Yeah, it wasnt the ideal sequel. It had its problems and disappointments. But I still loved it. It wasnt better than CT but it furthered the story and the plot. And it revealed that Lavos didnt just **** the world over. It fucked over time and dimensions of it. That planet was just raped ungodly by Lavos.

I also thought it was neat that the game only took place in a section of the world, and not the entire world.

I liked the story of CC, I liked their explanations of certain characters and lack there of, of others. I guess I just loved CT so much that, well, I didnt really care much what happened in the sequel. Just so long as it happened and that I could enjoy it.

The only think I didnt like when I first played it was that somehow Schala had blonde hair instead of purple. Only problem. But I loved the surprise plot twist involving her.

I'm glad their remaking it. I just wish that they would add another character. I want to know what that dungeon is.

It's not a remake, it's a port. The added dungeon is speculated to be the Singing Mountain dungeon, Ayla's sidequest, that was removed before the original release because it was sloppy and largely incomplete.

It's not a straight port. They are adding all kinds of DS stuff to it.

Well yeah, but the DS features will mostly likely be a menu slapped on the top screen and cheap, poorly integrated stylus function with the battle system and maybe movement. It will largely be a port.

not to look a gift horse in the mouth,but why the DS? my wife has one so i will be playing it lol but this should have gone to psp with graphics like crisis core. would have been brilliant. oh well i can never have enough chrono trigger in my household.
