The good things about Go-Onger

- the ideas themselves Now what do I mean by that? The concept of the Engines (a literal fusion of nature and machine). The enemy being a race of machines desiring a technosphere world, the theme of nature vs. technological.

Go-On has so much potential with these concepts to give the audience a meaningful, romantic show about an alternate world destroyed by a war between pure machine and the "perfect blend" of nature and machine, how things happening on Earth are paralleling what happened on Engine World, and the danger of both extremes. But no, what we get are ugly cars with animal faces with a bunch of morons saving the world from a bunch of unthreatening villains, with a pathetically tame theme of "anti-pollution". Whoop-dee-do.

So what? it was never to be taken seriouse in the first place. So yes the things in go-ongers are Cheesy. But if the kids are happy than its fine. Kids love to see these kind of things like the funny looking engines weird characters so i don't see anything wrong with the concept that go-onger is right now.

Uhm to the awnser the Question:
The only good thing i like is that the Go-ongers are always care to save others.
only i don't like the Story of the series that much right now and it's really getting boring.
but i'll watch until the end until i gave a reasonable opinion.

What do you mean, so what? Sentai has given us plenty of good shows in the past. So of course people will be upset at the way shows like Go-On and a lot of the recent shows have been handled. Just because the kids may be happy (though according to Igadevil's Kiva movie review, the audience was less than enthralled about Go-On) doesn't mean I'm not allowed to dislike a show, and wish they had done things differently. Us not being the target audience doesn't make us slaves to the people that are.

...I did? I said that my sister (who was there when I saw it the first time) liked it, and I liked it too, mainly cuz of the Rider stars in it. No clue what anybody else thought, but I didn't get the impression anybody hated it or anything, sorry if it somehow came across that way. Maybe that was mentioned in this other review instead?

a few things i don't like. and i didn't said you should like go-onger. but go-onger shouldn't be taken too be serious. and plus i didn't said we're slave's of the people who are at the age for those series, but i don't see the point of complaining about the quality of a kids show. it's useless to me to say i want this or i want that. i mean we're old enough to know that we can't have things we always want to have. i did this kind of complaining as many times before but i realise that it's not needed for to hate some thing that's not even targeted to me. i don't complain about how a show should be because it's simply none of our bussines.

i watch those series just for only entertainment. i don't have anything against you i'm just saying what i think about your opinion. like i always do to other people.

Ah yes, I got confused between the two. Adrienzo's review remarked on the lack of enthusiasm with Go-On:

Interesting note that during the entire length of the Go-onger movie the audience was silent, no laughs or anything...makes me wonder if they all just came for Kiva's movie.

i don't see the point of complaining about the quality of a kids show. it's useless to me to say i want this or i want that. i mean we're old enough to know that we can't have things we always want to have. i did this kind of complaining as many times before but i realize that it's not needed for to hate some thing that's not even targeted to me. i don't complain about how a show should be because it's simply none of our business.

That's essentially saying people shouldn't voice dissent against a show for the mere fact that it's targeted for kids. That's absurd. I'm not going to just sit here and say nothing. It's because of what Toei has done in the past with Sentai that I and a lot of other people (perhaps less vocal) object to the direction it's been going now. Sentai has always been for kids, yet it has not always been this kiddy and full of nothing.

okay i don't say you don't have to say anything, like i said i'm just reponding to your opinion. i'm just not the persons who really wants something that badly enough to go complaining about a show only because of the things they don't like it. having critics are okay but saying that i want it like that is just not needed. Go-onger is go-onger i think that every series needs to have their own perosonality and go-onger has its own.

My consistant bitching about Kamen Rider and Sentai in the past few months is due to the possible future I see. I see these shows just escalating in commercialism with the inverse that fans are becoming more apathetic as the toy products increase. After a while, it becomes just another toy selling show like Yu Gi Oh and lose all semblance of cultural relovence. Super Sentai will become Kalish PR

Sousuke and Gunpei are awesome.

I also love when they dress up in disguise, It's something I wish they did more often.

They also seem to be very serious about what they are doing, even if they themselves aren't serious. The fight scenes are never played off as goofy.
